FOOD GRADE STARCHES works as binder thickener bulking agent, dressing and filling agent in various food products like: Bakery products, Ice Creams Chocolates , Puddings Baby Foods, Noodles, Ketchup, Sauce and Jelly. Also in Cereals, Baby Powder, Noodles, Custard Powder, Dairy Products
PHARMA GRADE STARCHES can be used in both granulation formulation techniques. In dry granulation techniques where active ingredient is hygroscopic and is difficult to dry after wet binding, starch has proved to be an efficient dry binder. Since starch is partial cold water soluble, starch functions exceptionally well in tablet manufactured by wet granulation applications and performs dual functions of both a disintegrant and a binder.
FOOD GRADE DEXTRINS are partially hydrolyzed starches (intermediate between soluble glucose and insoluble starch). Carbohydrate mixture of unmodified starches of cereal or root basis (e.g. maize, tapioca, potato) converted by heating in the presence of food grade acids and buffers.
HERBAL & NUTRICEUTICAL DEXTRIN is used as carriers for active food flavourings, spices and colorants, where rapid dissolution in water is desired. Dextrin is also used in the encapsulation of water-insoluble flavourings and oils, replacing Arabic gum.
PHARMA GRADE DEXTRINS are a suspending agent; tablet binder; and a tablet and capsule diluent. It is used as an adhesive and stiffening agent for surgical dressings. In tablet and capsule formulations, dextrin is used as a diluent; as a binder for tablet granulation; as a sugar-coating ingredient that serves as a plasticizer and adhesive; and as a thickening agent for suspensions.
